Yes. All Business IT Online modules can be used by any Internet user in any country. In particular, invoices and credit notes in our Documents module can be configured to adopt all known tax regimes in all economies.

No, just use your Internet browser to access the system. However, some system features (e.g. printer friendly buttons) do require Adobe Reader to be installed on your local computer. We therefore recommend that you visit www.adobe.com and download free Adobe Reader software (if you haven't got it already) to get the most out of the Business IT Online system.

Very secure. In fact, more secure than relying on your local computer. If you're like most PC users, you probably don't back up your computer daily and when you do run backups you're probably not careful to make copies and take them off-site. And do your daily off-site backups find their way into fire-proof safes? Ours do. With industry-standard 128-bit secure socket layer encryption (it's what Internet banks use) and a locked down firewall, Business IT Online is probably more secure than anything in your office right now. And our digital certificate has been provided by Verisign - you can click on their logo at the bottom of this page to confirm our certificate's validity. Remember too that you can download data from Business IT Online to your computer at any time if you want a local copy.

Yes. We'll give you two users for free, so once you've signed up all you have to do is log in and add your secondary user from within the 'My account' section. If you would like to register more than two users, subscribe to our premium service which will also give you loads more great features to benefit from. You can also control your users' access to individual modules giving you complete system flexibility.

Adverts rotate evenly. The system calculates which adverts to show by sorting the adverts by a 'last displayed' timestamp. The most recently displayed adverts will drop to the bottom of the list. Premium adverts are more prominent, are displayed more frequently and receive more click-throughs because we have fewer premium users than free users.

No. The system can be accessed via a dial-up connection, but as with all websites, response times will be much slower than they would be via broadband. We would recommend broadband access where possible.

The system works well on the most popular browsers: Internet Explorer for Windows (version 6 and above), Firefox for Windows (version 2.0.0 and above) and Firefox for Macintosh (version 2.0.0 and above), Safari (version 2.0 and above) and Opera for Windows and Macintosh (version 9.22 and above). Business IT Online recently launched a new MarketingOnline module which enables you to create a business profile (or 'BIO') on the site. Your BIO can contain a link back to your own website as well as a description of your business and your contact details. You can also build up recommendations and testimonials to increase your reputation. In addition, you can also advertise your business to other system users via our sidebar advert rotation system.

Some email systems will treat automated emails as spam or junk email by default. It is recommended that you check your spam or junk mail filter for emails and if you find an email from us in there, tell your filter that it is not spam (there usually is a 'not spam' button). You should also consider adding 'noreply@businessitonline.com' to your address book and 'permitted senders' lists.
